On migration of Data
Why should we approach you for migration of data? I guess this can be done by simple downloading the data from our existing application and uploading on Zoho Books, QuickBooks or any other accounting application.
Migration of data is not only about uploading excel sheets. We bring in expertise which is a combination of accounting as well as understanding of the application. Though all of the accounting applications looks similar, there are changes in the structure/workflow based on which the migration has to be planned. We ensure that the entire data is migrated with certain tweaks as needed however we also ensure that the accounting effect remains same. The process starts with mapping of modules between two applications, it is sent to the client and then only the actual migration is started to avoid any surprises. We ensure almost no differences in balances between the two applications unless it is inevitable however that is also duly informed/debated before keeping the difference as it is.
Can you migrate data from desktop applications or cloud-based applications like Zoho Books or QuickBooks?
Yes and No. Yes, if the key data files are available in excel format like Day Books/Journal report, List of Customers, Vendors, Products, Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, etc. No, if we have to get the data from your system through Anydesk or Teamviewer. However, we are ready to go on a Zoom/Google meet call and assist you in getting the right data files wherever possible and is within our knowledge.
Why don’t you have a fixed package for migration?
The effort for migration is dependent on the number of transactions and the type of transactions to be migrated. It is not possible for us to derive the effort unless we look at the Journal report/Day Book for the migration period. This is also to ensure that we give precise quotation and the timeline to you.
Can you reconcile our accounts along with migration?
Both are separate processes, our suggestion would be as follows: Either reconcile first before the migration in the base system or migrate and do the reconciliation. It will be difficult for you as well us to fix up accountability on the errors if both of the jobs are mixed up.
Bookkeeping Services
Which all applications do you support for bookkeeping?
QuickBooks, Zoho Books, QuickFile and Xero. We can also do the bookkeeping on excel for small businesses.
Which all data points are needed to start bookkeeping?
Bank Statements, Credit Card Statements, Previous Year filed tax returns, brief on your nature of business.
Can you audit our financials and file tax returns? Also do you offer other compliance services such as GST, Sales Tax, VAT filing, Company compliances, etc.
We have clients across the world. It is humanly not possible to track regulatory changes in so many countries. Hence our suggestion would be to get your tax returns/other filings done through the local experts.
What are your working hours?
We are available from 9.30 am IST to 7.30 pm IST. From Monday to Saturday. Exceptional calls can be done beyond this hours in case of an emergency. We are not available on any of the Sundays.
What is the mode of communication ?
Emails, Whatsapp, Skype or calls (during the working hours).
Q: What is the Turn Around Time(TAT) in case of queries ?
We limit our clients to ensure that TAT is less than 24 working hours.
Payment terms
What are the payment terms in case we choose to opt for any of your services?
Our payment terms are 50% (Plus any external application subscription cost) in advance and remaining 50% within 3 working days after the project is completed. For the clients through Fiverr & Upwork, 100% of the payment should be deposited in escrow account before the work is started. GST as applicable on advance as well as final payments.
Can we make the payment in Cash?
Sorry, this is against our internal policies. All the payments are accepted only through the following modes: Bank Transfer, UPI, Razorpay (Net Banking/Credit Card/UPI/Wallets), PayPal for international customers. If you any one of our international customers, you can also choose to make payment directly in our USD/GBP/Euro account.
Please note that for Credit Card payments through Razorpay, 3.54% will be chargeable over and above the invoice amount.
Can you buy Zoho Books/QuickBooks licenses on our behalf?
Sorry, we are not into the business of trading of licenses hence the subscription has to be purchased by the client before the work is started. We don’t have any issue on trial period as long as the subscription is available during our work period.
Human Resource
Are there any open vacancies?
We always have vacancies for account assistant position. This is work from home job and lady candidates are preferred. Freshers and housewives with career breaks are also welcome with accounting and excel knowledge. Laptop/Desktop will be provided to candidates based out of Mumbai/Surat (with suitable indemnity bond as per the policy of the firm). For others, we have BYOD policy and suitable device allowance will be provided.
What all benefits are given to employees?
Currently we are operating completely on WFH model. There are no restrictions on timings as long as desired productivity standards are met. There is no compulsion for video calls like many other WFH jobs. Apart from the flexibility, we provide Health Insurance to all employees post completion of one year with us.
